    The User Guide introduces VivPDF for beginning users.

    1. Preview

    Before we introduce the functions equipped in VivPDF, we have to figure out what kind of problems VivPDF could help you to solve. All the problems you might meet during you're dealing with PDF files could be solved by VivPDF, a simple but smart PDF editor.

    2. Basic Operations and Functionalities in PDF

    We would like users to know the basic interface and operation like activating software, edit PDF document, convert file format between PDF and others and ready-made templates for various usages. The introduction will be done in different modules as follows.

  • Download and Installation

    1. Requirements

    If you want to use VivPDF to edit PDF files, the requirements for your devices are as follows.

    System: Windows10/8.1/7/Vista/XP

    Capacity: 14MB

    Language support: English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, Dutch

    2. Download and installation

    You could get VivPDF at VivPDF Product Page . Although there are many ways to download the software, for example, your PC system would prompt whether execute or save the install application after you press "Try Free" button. Select execute and follow the steps or save the install application and double click it and follow the steps to install VivPDF in your PC according to your settings.

  • Registration

    1. Trial

    The software you download first time should be a trial version with watermark stamped after modification.

    2. Standard Version

    The Standard Version of VivPDF is officially licensed version which contains core functions of the editor. You might have to purchase the registration code by clicking the "Buy Now" button.

    3. Pro. Version

    The Pro. Version is advanced version which contains some higher functionalities than standard version of VivPDF, such as converter and OCR functions. You may acquire this version by purchasing Pro. Version registration code directly or upgrade the existing standard version with update code.

    4. Activation

    First you have to obtain a registration code, then run the VivPDF, click "Help" at top toolbar, and select "Install Key", there will appear a pop-up window. Fill your registration code into the blank and click "Register", you will complete the process after see the page with words "Registration succeeded"

  • Open PDF File

    Open VivPDF in different ways

    1. Double Click

    You should make VivPDF as PDF file's default editor, then double click any PDF file to run VivPDF.

    2. Drag the PDF into VivPDF

    Run VivPDF, and drag the PDF file directly into VivPDF.

    3. Open PDF in the menu

    Run VivPDF, choose "File", and select "Open" in the dropdown menu, and then choose which PDF file to open in the pop-up window.

    The screenshot is VivPDF's interface and main functions are displayed in the toolbar.

  • Viewing Mode

    1. Change Viewing mode as you wish

    You can change viewing mode at the bottom toolbar.

    2. Zoom in and out

    You can zoom in and out on PDF file by dragging the scrolling bar or input percentage manually.

  • Create

    1. Creating blank PDF document

    Run VivPDF, and choose "Create" and select "Blank Document" to enter the setting box. You can choose fixed size to utilize existing patterns and page direction, then press "OK" you will get a totally blank PDF document.

    2. Creating PDF document from other files

    Run VivPDF, and choose "Create" and select "From File" to choose from which file to create a PDF document. The file you choose will be changed into PDF format automatically.

  • Add & Delete Text

    1. Choose "Edit" option at the top toolbar, find "Content Editing" area at the right side menu.

    2. You could insert text into the existing texts, select "Edit Text & Images" to make all the texts and images editable. Place the cursor where you want to add text.

    3. If you would like to insert text in the margin area beyond existing texts, please select "Add text". Then you will be able to insert text wherever in the PDF document, of course you have to decide place by mouse clicking.

    4. You could also delete texts you don't need anymore. Usually we use backspace to delete few pieces of text, as for a large amount of text, we select the text area by dragging mouse and delete it by 1 press of backspace. Textbox will disappear if there is no text.

    5. Please do not forget save changes after editing.

  • Edit Text Font

    1. Choose the "Edit" at the top toolbar and select the text you would like to edit, then selected text will become highlighted.

    2. There will appear a menu panel at the right side, you can find font options in the Format area. Font, size, color and bold are available for you to edit as you wish.

    3. After editing, please remember to save the changes you made before closing the program.

  • Edit Text Layout

    1. Choose the "Edit" at the top toolbar and select the text you would like to edit, then selected text will become highlighted.

    2. There will appear a menu panel at the right side, you can find text layout options in the Format area. Paragraph alignment, cross on texts, line and character spacing, and value dropdown selections are available for you to edit as you wish.

    3. After editing, please remember to save the changes you made before closing the program.

  • Edit Image

    You can edit an image in the PDF file or add images into PDF file.

    1. Choose an image and right click it.

    2. Select options in the menu panel after right clicking. Except basic functions such as cut, copy, paste, delete, there are also some advanced functions such as crop, flip, rotate, and lay image in front or back of page, you could edit image according to your demands.

    3. Save the changes.

    1. Insert Pages from other file

    Choose "Pages" in the top toolbar, select "Insert from File" to call out the setting box. And make settings in the modification areas as you wish, and press "OK" to complete inserting.

    2. Insert Blank Page

    Choose "Pages" in the top toolbar, select "Insert Blank Page" to call out the setting box. And make settings in the modification areas as you wish, and press "OK" to complete inserting.

  • Delete PDF Pages

    Choose "Pages" in the top toolbar, select "Delete" at the right menu panel, there will appear a setting box, and you could delete pages as you set.

  • Extract Page

    Choose "Pages" in the top toolbar, select "Extract" at the right menu panel, and make settings at upcoming pop-up window, press "OK" to finish extracting.

  • Replace Page

    Choose "Pages" in the top toolbar, select "Replace" option at the right side menu, and make settings at the pop-up window to replace pages you want, then press "OK" to end task.

  • Split Pages

    Choose "Pages" in the top toolbar, select "Split Document", and make settings at the pop-up window, you could split pages according to size or page numbers.

  • Crop Page

    Choose "Pages" in the top toolbar, select "Crop" option and then double click on the page which you would like to crop, then make settings at the window popping up later, then press "OK" to complete cropping.

  • Rotate Page

    Choose "Pages" in the top toolbar, select "Rotate" option to enter the setting box, after setting direction and objects, press "OK" to finish rotating

  • Background

    Choose "Pages" in the top toolbar, select "Background" then choose "Add", "Update" or "Remove" option to modify your pages background, then press "OK" to finish editing background.

  • Watermark

    Choose "Pages" in the top toolbar, select "Watermark" then choose "Add", "Update" or "Remove" option to modify your watermark on pages, then press "OK" to finish editing watermark.

  • Bates Numbering

    Choose "Pages" in the top toolbar, select "Bates Numbering" then choose "Add" or "Remove" to make settings, then press "Ok" to complete task.

  • Fill Form

    Forms that are provided for users to fill the blank or tick to select without using editing functions, you could choose to display the fillable area highlighted or not. We provide many templates which are generally used in various business situations.

  • Protection

    We provide protection functions in our editor, you can choose "Protection" at the top toolbar, and select Encrypt with Password" to protect your PDF files, and choose "Remove Security" to cancel the password

  • Sign

    1. Place Signature

    Choose "Sign" in the top toolbar, and select "Place Signature", then you have to designate the area to place the signature, use mouse to circle an area for signing. And you could do settings in the pop-up window. After editing, press "Sign" button to complete signing.

    2. Sign & Certify

    This operation is similar to placing signature. Choose "Sign" in the top toolbar, and select "Sign & Certify", there are 2 kinds of certifications for you to choose, visible and invisible mode, please choose according to your demand. Then you also have to designate the area to sign and certify, use mouse to circle an area for signing and certify. And you could do settings inside the pop-up window, the options are also similar to that of placing signature. After editing, press "Sign" to complete the task.

  • Comment

    Choose "Comment" option in the top toolbar, select style you would like to make annotations or you can use your own way to annotate by drawing various marks as you wish.
